There are reportedly more than 1,000,000 orphans who require support in Tanzania. In Islam, an orphan is described as a child who has lost his father or both parents. Most of the Orphans live with their grandparents. The grandparents are not in a condition to settle the Orphan’s needs and requirements as it should be fulfilled.

The orphans are at the age of learning. Unfortunately, due to their circumstances, they are deprived of education. Lack of education makes it difficult for them to be accepted by employers as adults.

One of the other factors leading to Orphans is chronic poverty. Poverty leads to children being separated from their families and entering orphanages. Families facing poverty can struggle to access essential services – which may include health, education and financial support, among many other areas.

Our Project is to construct an Orphan centre to look after deprived and poverty stricken orphans in Tanzania. The centre will ensure each orphan is receiving a high level of education and have their daily needs taken care of. The aim is to give hope and prepare the children for a brighter future.

*Zakaat funds will be used towards Orphan Care & not towards the construction of the centre.
